Transfer News: Yaya Toure Refutes Claims of Impending PSG Move

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has refuted claims he has already agreed a deal with Paris Saint Germain, but failed to commit his long-term future with the English Premier League champions.

Toure, one of the Premier League's most dynamic players, was in the news recently, when his agent Dimitri Seluk claimed his client would leave City if a new contract was not agreed.

The former Barcelona player insisted he was not on his way to PSG in the summer, yet.

"No, I don't think of PSG," Toure told Ivory Coast newspaper Sport-Ivoire.

"You know that with the approach of the transfer window, there are many things that are said in the newspapers."

The 29-year-old's future is still thought to be up in the air, with both parties reportedly set to meet soon.

City, though, are not expected to offer Toure a new contract, with the Ivory Coast international already earning around £220,000 a week ($330,000), with his current deal set to expire only in 2015.

Toure hinted at some friction within the camp, while also only saying he was committed to the City cause until the end of this season.

"We are professional and so far I have not given any agreement with any club," he added. "I am for the moment a City player and I will fight so that we finish the season in good conditions.

"In a club there are players and administrators. We are like soldiers and we carry out what employers say.

"The most important thing for me is to continue to have fun and to entertain the public."

Toure's possible availability has reportedly aroused the interest of not just PSG, but also Chelsea and Real Madrid.

The Blues are thought to be one of the frontrunners for the signature, even though it is unlikely that City will want to sell to a rival club, if indeed they are forced to let go of their star midfielder.
