Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn have been dating for a while and although it has been rumored about, it was never confirmed until Monday, when the couple put out pictures on Facebook.
According to ESPN.com, the couple has been dating for months and the 14-time major champion wrote about it on Facebook. Woods and Vonn are both divorced and this would be the most-high profile relationship for the golfer since his split.
"This season has been great so far and I'm happy with my wins at Torrey and Doral," Woods said. "Something nice that's happened off the course was meeting Lindsey Vonn. Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become very close and are now dating."
Woods has won twice on tour this season and is preparing for the Masters and according to ESPN.com, Woods stopped in Austria to see Vonn at the Alpine skiing world championships in January and also send out his plane after she was injured and needed to get back hom. The two also were seen near Woods' yacht.
"I guess it wasn't a well-kept secret but yes, I am dating Tiger Woods," Vonn said on her Facebook page. "Our relationship evolved from a friendship into something more over these past few months and it has made me very happy."
Vonn is currently rehabbing from knee surgery and she is not expected to miss the Olympics in 2014. Woods was married to Elin Nordegren for five years before it broke down after his affairs and sex scandal were revealed.
