Michael Jordan's Paternity Suit Has Been Dismissed

NBA legend Michael Jordan had a paternity and child support case dismissed after a woman claimed the former Chicago Bulls star fathered her now 16-year-old son.

According to TMZ, Pamela Smith filed egal documents in Georgia asking the judge to dismiss her case against MJ -- and her request was granted without prejudice (meaning she can refile at a later time if she wants to).

As of now it's unclear why Smith had her case dismissed, but it's possible her and Jordan reached some sort of settlement agreement, or an agreement to halt all legal actions all together.

Whatever the case may be, Jordan still has managed to keep the situation under wraps and away from the public eye for now.

Smith claimed she became pregnant after having sex with Jordan in 1996. She gave birth to Grant Pierce Jay Jordan Reynolds -- aka Taj -- in June 1996. Jordan was married to Juanita Vanoy at the time he allegedly had sex with Smith.

Currently there are no documents that describe any alleged relationship between Smith and Jordan, but back in December, "Taj" posted a video on YouTube declaring that he is Jordan's secret son.

Taj, aka Taj Tareef, claims he is a hip-hop artist and likens his sound to Wiz Khalifa and Soulja Boy. The site's bio claims the Jamaican-born, Atlanta-raised teen "is nothing short of genius" and was "producing his own tracks as a tenth grader out of Westlake High School."
