Tim Tebow has had quite the eventful offseason after being the main drama for the New York Jets throughout the season and after dealing with trade speculation this year, the quarterback had some downtime in Arizona by eating dinner with Nick Swisher.

According to the NY Daily News, the Jets quarterback and former Yankees outfielder Nick Swisher were spotted eating dinner together out in Arizona at a steakhouse in Scottsdale last month. Tebow was in the area training during the offseason and the report said that Swisher was out there for the same reason and the two have mutual friends.

"We went out and caught a nice little dinner," Swisher said. "Nice guy, bro." Swisher added, laughing, "We were bringing nothing but sunshine in there, fellas! Bringing some good to the world.

The two players spent last season in the same city, with Tebow playing in New Jersey with the Jets and Swisher manning the outfield for the Yankees. Swisher left in free agency to sign a contract with the Cleveland Indians, which was the highest-paid deal in franchise history.

Tebow took a picture of the group out to dinner and posted in on Twitter, where Swisher retweeted it later on, sending it out to all his followers online.

"It's the second time I've gotten a chance to meet him and just kind of sit down and pick his brain about everything. You don't know how big a man he is until you get right next to him. I'm like, 'That's exactly why I wanted to play baseball, bro.' When quarterbacks are that big, man, this is not a sport for me."

Tebow had a rough season in New York with the Jets, who barely used him on offense, putting him on the field for 73 plays, where he rushed for 102 yards and completed six of eight passes for 39 yards. General manager John Idzik said in a conference call that Tebow could be part of the competition for the quarterback position next season, meaning he may not be traded.

"Great guy, great dinner," Swisher said. "You know me - I'm always up for a good time, man."

The tough part for the Jets in trading Tebow is that many NFL teams haven't been interested in acquiring the quarterback. The Jets shopped him at the trading deadline, but so far no team has proven to be a willing trade partner. The team is also deciding what to do with cornerback Darrelle Revis, who has been the subject of trade talks himself.

The Atlanta Falcons are the most recent team to emerge in trade rumors for the cornerback, while Swisher did not glean any details from Tebow about where his future may lie.

Swisher said, "Who knows, man. Tough spot."
