Harvin 49ers Rumors
Minnesota Vikings receiver Percy Harvin (12) leaps as he carries the ball for a four-yard gain near Denver Broncos line backer D.J. Williams (55) during the first quarter of their NFL football game in Minneapolis, December 4, 2011. "

Percy Harvin wants a trade and the San Francisco 49ers have become the front runners in that race, according to a lot of reports. Though it's nothing official, let's intrigue the thoughts of Harvin landing with the 49ers. Without a doubt, he will make them champions. Here's why.

He's young, cheap for a year and multifaceted.

Do you want any more reasons? Harvin played with the Minnesota Vikings in 2012. They were the NFL's second worst passing team as Christian Ponder led the offense from behind center. Anyways, with Adrian Peterson in the team, what else would you expect?

Harvin's 2012 numbers aren't too impressive when just staring at his receiving numbers, but the man can help a team with rushing statistics and he's a return man as well.

Ted Ginn Jr. is a free agent, so the 49ers could play it safe and go after Harvin as he can take over returning duties while simultaneously becoming one of their top receivers.

In 2012, Harvin only played in eight games. He totaled 677 yards and three touchdowns on 67 catches. Harvin suffered an ankle injury that saw him sit out almost half the season. If we learned anything in 2012 it's that injured players can and will recover from injuries, just ask Peterson and Peyton Manning.

Harvin rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown while also returning punts and kickoffs for 574 yards and a touchdown.

He can simply do it all.

Opening Up the Field
Though 5' 11", Harvin can provide speed and open up the field for the 49ers, which in turn will boost their running game and make the 100 yards of a football field seem like eternal pastoral lands for the 49ers' rush attack.

Colin Kaepernick would have feasts on the football field. Not only can the 49ers run it with Frank Gore, but Kaepernick can take it himself. Harvins can attract the secondary and Kaepernick would be free to run for days.

Also, out of the pistol formation, the 49ers could use his versatility and let him get some carries on a couple of trick plays.

Harvin Can Lead Crazy Plays
It wasn't the Ravens who kept the 49ers out of the end zone. The 49ers lack of creativity kept the 49ers away from the end zone at the end of the Super Bowl.

The 49ers couldn't punch in the score that would have given them the lead. With Harvin around, though he doesn't provide the ability to set up a jump ball at the corner of the end zone, he can have defenders on their heels which can lead to more successful plays.

Harvin's Cost
The 49ers have 14 picks in the upcoming draft and they have Alex Smith available as trade bait. The Vikings love Ponder behind center, but there is no question they could use another quarterback as their starter.

The 49ers have the talent to get back into the Super Bowl, but with the possible addition of Harvin, they could take it all in New York as Super Bowl XLVIII is set to be played in Metlife Stadium.

Harvin's Heavy Attitude
Harvin might have attitude problems, but the 49ers have dealt with egos in the past. They saw Terrell Owens get fined multiple times with his acts and they had a calm Randy Moss on their sidelines this past season. Vernon Davis wasn't the coolest guy in the 49ers sideline, but Jim Harbaugh found a way to change that around.

It's simple. Harvin is complaining because he wants to win more and be a part of a successful passing game.

There is no way the 49ers will lose in 2013 unless half their roster gets injured. Michael Crabtree is a fiery guy who can keep Harvin relaxed. Sounds Ironic, but they can feed off each other's vibes and get along well. Both guys want to win and this could be the motivation both players need.

So far, following the conclusion of the NFL season, all we're hearing is rumors. Tim Tebow is under the spotlight and now Harvin is attracting a lot of teams.

Here's a prediction, if the 49ers land Harvin, and he remains healthy throughout the year and in the playoffs, they will win the Super Bowl in 2013.
