The Golden State Warriors have a slick new home alternate jersey, becoming the first team in the NBA to use sleeves in their uniform designs.

According to the Associated Press, the Warriors will debut the specially designed jerseys against San Antonio Spurs on Feb. 22 and will wear then two other times at home games as well. The new yellow jerseys were designed specifically for the team by Adidas and marks the first time that a jersey made with sleeves has been used for an NBA team officially.

The new designs have the retro logo for the Warriors and have the yellow that is part of the scheme for the franchise. The jersey has a while stripe down the side and features the players number on the front and back. The new designs were made by Adidas and offers players' better movement and breathing as well as ventilation. It has recycled materials in it and also has a "ClimaCool ventilation system" to help players breathe.

Adidas has plans to create more jerseys in the future for other NBA teams and could make a deal with the league to supple the sleeved jerseys for all teams.

Many teams in the sports world use new brands, logo designs and jersey changes as ways to build some hype in the community and to mark new directions for the franchise.  Like the Warriors, who haven't been successful in the postseason for quite some time, the Jacksonville Jaguars did something similar last week after introducing a new logo for the team.

The new logo has a rougher looking jaguar that stands as the logo and has a sleeker design with more realistic spots. The change isn't a complete overhaul and it there are additional designs with the teams teal-color scheme, including on the ears, eyes and nose. The team hadn't changed their logo since coming into the league as an expansion team and is trying to invigorate a fan base as the team prepares to play four home games in London over the next four years.

The Jaguars, who have been awful for the past decade, are hoping that a new regime with a new head coach and a new general manager and new logo will help bring the team into a new period. The team hired Gus Bradley as coach and David Caldwell as general manager to fix a team that was near the bottom of the league in total defense and scoring defense.

The offense wasn't much better, ranking 30th in the NFL in scoring and new owner Shad Khan is hoping that the new logo can put a spark under the team. The Warriors are hoping the new jerseys will bring fan attention to the team and it should help with ticket sales at the dates the franchise will be wearing the new designs.
