Well this perfectly explains why Kobe Bryant calls himself the Black Mamba as opponents say he hisses like a snake when asking for the ball.

You might have thought he was the Black Mamba because of his deadly skills or because, despite being 34, he's still fast and sleek when getting to the basket.

However, apparently Bryant's snake instincts physically take over when asking for the ball on the court. Usually, a teammate might just yell for the ball, but Bryant is different. Are we surprised that Bryant asks for it in such a creative way?

It definitely helps when playing against an opponent you don't face too often. Take Jordan Crawford for example. He could barely keep a straight face in an interview when discussing the first time he picked up on Bryant's hissing habit.  He couldn't believe it. Here's how an interview went with the Washington Wizards point guard.

"When I first played with Kobe, I was hearing - like, they call him "The Black Mamba" - and then he was doing, like, the little snake sounds when he wanted the ball. (laughs) It was crazy. It was crazy. It was crazy. It's like, tssss, tssss. It's like, Fish, Fish, Fisher - tsssss, tssss."

This could be a new way of looking at element of surprise. You're not expecting a hiss, but Bryant does it.  Of course, this was from an earlier experience as Derek Fisher is no longer a Laker.

But there you have it, Bryant calls himself the Black Mamba and he hisses on the court. Don't be surprised if new memes of this are posted around the internet. We will definitely keep you posted.

He is one of the deadliest scores and Bryant apparently makes one of the funniest noises on the court to signal and allow teammates know when he wants the pass.
